Description
This class is intended for those working in occupational settings whereby they, a co-worker or their client could become ill or injured on the job and may also need defibrilation.
The class will be customized to your worksite based on the hazards, potential injuries and potential accidents that could occur. This fun, interactive class will involve so many games and role plays that you will be able to recall the steps to CPR and how to care for various First Aid injuries including head injuries, choking, amputated fingers, internal bleeding and broken bones and how to confidentally use the company's Automated External Defibrillator.
The goal of this course is to help you attain beginning level skills and comfort with the Essentials Skills in Patient Care. Upon completion of the program you, as a participant, will be familiar with the Primary Skills in rescue breathing, CPR, shock, bleeding and foreign body obstruction (choking), and how to care for common injuries found in your workplace/worksite. In addition, you will learn the steps to take in Illness and Injury Assessment. The course will cover all of these essential skills for the adult patient.
The course also includes first aid topics related to triage. This course is designed to align with the Floor Warden/Disaster Preparedness course.
